Calvin Adams Warren 1950 ~ 2007 Calvin Adams Warren passed away peacefully in his home Monday, October 22, 2007, after an arduous battle with cancer.Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, on August 17, 1950, to Calvin L. Warren and Mary Adams Warren Brewer, Cal shared his birth date and his charm and strength with his mother and maternal grandmother. After graduating from Olympus High School, Cal attended the University of Utah from 1968 to 1973, where he was an active member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity. He continued his studies, both formally and informally, for the next 35 years in his quest for knowledge, perfection, and fulfillment of his intellectual curiosity. Cal worked for a variety of organizations including Clark-Leaming, American Stores, and Mid West Office Supply as a designer and space planner, which is where his genius lay. Later his interests and talents led him to computer technology, in which he developed his extraordinary networking and trouble- shooting skills. Cal is survived and beloved by his wife, Camille Walker Greenfield Warren; his mother, Mary; his daughter, Kelli Ann (Sam) Mezzani; his son, Adam Nelson; his stepdaughter, Melissa (Lito) Lopez; and grandchildren Olivia (4), Connor (6 months), and Samantha Grace (2 weeks). He is also survived by brothers, Scott "Baylor" Warren, Jon (Nicole) Warren, Mathew (Debbie) Warren, Clark (Melissa) Warren; sister, Sarah Jane Marshall; cousin, Ellen Everett; and numerous nieces and nephews. Cal gave his attention and skills to those in need and he had a way of making everyone he encountered feel significant. He loved and cared for his mother and younger siblings from the time he was 14. His family will not only remember him as a brother and son, but also as a father. Cal, the void you have left in your family's and friends' lives is immeasurable. We love you always. A memorial gathering will be held Thursday, October 25, at 4 p.m. at the home of Melissa and Lito Lopez, 3114 W. Covey Lane, Phoenix, 85027. A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 29, 2007, at 2 p.m. at the First Unitarian Church, 569 So. 1300 E., Salt Lake City, Utah 84102, with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the American Cancer Society or Hospice of the Valley in Phoenix, Arizona.
