After HS graduation, he served a mission in New Zealand. Went to BYU where he graduated in Sociology & Psychology with minor in PE and a teaching degree. While at BYU met Linda Taylor and married Feb.22, 1973 in SLC Temple.While expecting 1st child, has Stage IV Hodgkin’s Disease. Was one of 5/352 who survived! Became a teacher and coach and took Hillcrest HS to 2nd in State in soccer. Was asked to become a Principal, but did not want to give up coaching and teaching where he could have a better influence on the students! In 2009, diagnosed with Stage IV Colon and liver cancer! Survived to meet 10 more grandchildren. Could build anything from furniture to home additions. Loved his landscaping business and tractor! Loved mts.,skiing, riding his horses, his beagle Lady! Loved the Gospel of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Served as Bishop and loved the people! Suffered this Spring through Liver Cancer and Multiple Myeloma in spine. He suffered but always had a smile, thumbs up, or a wink. He never complained and taught us all about endurance, courage, and trust in his Father in Heaven! He was a great man!!
